tamiya "pearl yellow"?

I was told that the tamiya "pearl yellow" was the most accurate color for the Pennzoil nismo.

I assume this was some limited edition paint like the "alpine blue" that was made for the A110.

I know that "alpine blue" is now TS-54 light metallic blue. did they do the same thing with "pearl yellow"? the closest thing I can think of is TS-47 chrome yellow.... Is it the same?

Thanks!

No, they haven't rereleased TS Pearl Yellow yet...I hear the instructions call for TS-16 Yellow as an alternative..

oh!

Maybe this (http://www.hlj.com/cgi-perl/hljpage.cgi?FLGFG-03) mixed with X-8 would do the trick....

EDIT:

DAMN I gotta find this stupid color spray, look at this http://www.automotiveforums.com/scalemodeling/tazdev/PennzoilGTR.html The car is so much better looking with pearl yellow!

WOW!!!!

The have been told correct color for the Pennzoil Nismo is Chrome Yellow, TS-47.

Chrome yellow used to be a limited production color, but due to the popularity of the color, they created a code for it and made it a standard color.

I have yet to see pearl yellow anywhere.

What I don't understand is why they would call it "chrome" yellow if it's supposed to be a pearl color, there's pearl blue, pearl white etc...

Chrome Yellow is probably some metalic yellow paint...

I'll have to see it for myself.
