Fuel pump fix

Alright, has some of you may already know, I have hard start issues with my car (1999 2.2 OHV Cavy) From what I was told it might be the check valve in the fuel pump that's defective (which is ledding fuel back into the pump) and apparently, an easy way to fix this is to simply tee-in a check valve into the fuel line.

However, I was just wondering what's the size of the rubber tubbing that comes out of the fuel pump (3/8 or 5/16). And also...did any of you ever do this?

Hopefully that'll fix the issue because it's like, 10-20$ isnted of a new fuel pump :P

The fuel pump lines are a hard non-maluable plastic. I've got my old 99 cavalier OHV fuel pump sitting in the fuel tank in the garage. Still ran good when I yanked it with 40K miles on the clock.

Cover shipping, and i'll just send the damn thing to ya as I have been needing a way to throw all this crap out.
