Hi all I recently put a new starter on my 99 concorde with a 2.7 engine well guess what same problem it starts when it wants to I have to keep messing with the key for it to start. I talked with a Chrsler service manager and he suggested for me to check the battery cable for corrosion and tightness before bringing it in to the dealer. Any other suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Hey the same thing was and might happen again on my 94. I checked cables and juice, all was fine. So after awhile (a few weeks) I thought to look inside the fusebox. I was looking at the fuses and i say the one in the starter/Ignition/ and something oranother (all in one fuse) I say that all the others were nice shiny and small balls connected to each side of the fuse (20A) with a pointy metal rod. The one in the start/Ing was bigger, rusty, had some growth, and was basically not worth much. I switched it with an Interior Brake Lights fuse. It seems to work even better now.

hope this helps... PM me if it does or not and ill take a look at mine again to see why its working better!
