Hello,
Just a quick question. What fuel grade should I be using in my 2004 S60R? I ask because I bought it used and I did not recieve any user manuals and I am not seeing the fuel grade anywhere. I am assuming that I have to use premium 91 octane but if I can drop it down to save some money I would not mind doing so.

Thanks in advance.

As long as the car does not require Premium, then simply run regular. The car's PCM controls timing by the knock sensor so any grade fuel can be used.

I am pretty sure if the car required premium, it would be marked on the fuel lid or on the dash somewhere.

You should use minimum 91 Octane, this engine does not like anything less, I use Sunoco 94 Octane, I know it is expensive but a much cleaner burn and more HP.
