85 honda crx project hidden bueaty

so that is my 85 honda crx and i plan on makin it look a heck alot better then it does now. been workin ont eh motor adn it runs now but got a few kinks to work out but i htough i woudl post a before pic and a list of what i am gonna do then post updates as i do them.

1. D1 fenders
2.swap headlights to 2nd gen black projectors lights
3. swap tail lights to 2nd gen black altezza lights
4. make custom header pannel and fiberglass to hood
5. type m body kit
6. body work adn primer
7. clean up interior and make custom center console
8. ok call me crazy but i am from the south wrap in mossy oak new brake up vynil camo
9.get rims adn tires
10. paint symbols and other accents balze orange to go wiht camo

so thats the list and i plan to get started soon. feel free to give feedback and comments they will be appreiciated no matter what they are

so anybody got any suggestions for an ehaust system and where to find one for 84-87 honda crx's?

LOL, you won't find an exhaust system for this car. You can find headers, but no one makes an exhaust kit. Take the car to a muffler shop and have a 2" exhaust system welded up for it, that's about the only option. A 2G CRX exhaust system won't fit.

ya did some resarch and every body said to do what you said so as soon as i get fenders and new tires and it is street legal its taking a trip to the shop to get hooked up with that setup you just explained probably gonna go with a magnaflow muffler


oh and fenders come in tomorrow so i will get those on and post a pic

got the fenders in and now mounted but this pic was taken when i just mached it up.

and ya now the back windows have to be re-installed had to take them out cause they was leakin....

2nd gen seats fit in a 1st gen?

not directly... you can swap the seat pans tho... remove the hog rings from the metal pan in the bottom of both seats, put the 1g seat pan in the bottom of the 2g seat, re-clip the hog rings, done. bolt them in, and enjoy pure sex.

ok any body got a spare passenger side seat pan then maybe haha i only have the drivers seat

If my friend was ever around from Pass Christian, I'd have him come pick up this spare seat I have and drop it off to you... but the odds of that happening are, well, maybe you'd have better luck diggin in your ass to find one lol.

BTW, until you find a seat pan to use for the Pass side, I believe at least one of the rails will bolt up... you could give that a shot for the pass side... just don't leave it like that.

maybe just welding todether like an adapter bracket or somethign might work.....

any body know if carbon fiber hoods for the firt gen are still produced caue i did some lookin around for them and cant seem to find em any where

well for some that know i have had a time tryign to get the factory carb goin got a far as the car will start but no idle so i finally said screw it! and ordered the weber kit #726 to replace the stock carb should be in monday and i will get it on then give an update

got in today put it on in about an hour started it up and it jsut purrred
small adjustment to idle screw was finally able to set my timing and now it is good to go if you got the stock carb and can get the car runnin but cant get it to idle then invest in the weber it is very worth it

just got the 2nd gen projectore headlights and the 2nd gen altezza smoked tail lights in today hopefully work on gettin them in saturday. pics will be up of the whole process

project is moving slow been a long process over these couple of years but i have gotten alot done today i got my exhaust welded up 2" from the cat back with a 12" cherry bomb glasspack

fenders off ebay and never had to look for a hood mine was fine
