2002 malibu power window won't close

just noticed my left rear power window will not go up. The window is half down at the stop point, where you can't make it go completely down on this vehicle. Using the power button, it will not close (go all the way up to close)for me.
I do seem to hear the window power motor running though. What/how do I check and correct the problem?

Your cable is probably all tangled. The same thing happened to my 99. I tried to rewind mine but it was turning into a major headache. $25.00 later and a trip to the scrap yard gave me a whole new window regulator assembly...well worth the money.
