I have a 2002 Cav LS 5 Speed.
There seems to be a metal rattling noise comming, if your looking at the front of the car, from the left fender area. This used to happen when i started it up, but would go away after a few minutes of driving. Now it is not stopping at all, and seems to be getting louder, and more violent.
Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure the coolant reservoir hold down bolts are tight and the upper motor mount bolts.
Other than that, remove the inner fender well liners and start the car and trace the noise down. There isn't really anything in the passenger side nor the driver side that should be rattling besides body hold down nuts/ bolts.

does this "metal rattling" sound get louder or increase with RPM?
