remote start + alarm

i have a 1998 pontiac grand prix; my alarm isnt working anymore i was wondering how difficult it would be for me to install a remote start plus alarm on it. i've never done this before can anyone point me to the right direction so i dont make any newbie errors. thank you

It really isn't that hard if you have a little knowledge on the subject. Usually when people have problems is when they have to trouble shoot something. If you don't have a clue about this, I would advise against it. Also, if you already have problems with your car, you may need an expert installer to help the install.
