maurauder wheels on an2000 gm

im looking at a 2000 gm with merauder wheels on it but the seller said there is a slight vibration in the steering,even after he put wheel spacers on it , but no vibration with the factory wheels ,which also come with the car......are the bigger wheels compatable / safe on this car..he's been driving it like this for a few years.thanks

It's probably the wheel spacers that are the cause of the vibration.

The bigger wheels are safe but used with wheel spacers will cause greater suspension & wheel bearing wear.

The wheel spacers are being used because the Marauder wheels have different offset specs.

It is best to have wheels with the correct specs for that particular vehicle.

I do not consider a top end engine swap (cylinder heads & intake) a "quick mod".



i have a 2000 mercury grand marquis with a 4.6 non P.I. heads. can i put the P.I. heads from a 98-02 mustang GT and the PI intake on my merc and get better proformance or would it be cheaper to go with different cams? ... i can get the GT heads and intake for free so if this can work let me know or what would.
