You can use filling putty. Testors and Tamiya make this. This is useful in filling seam lines, punch marks, etc.. T

here is also Polyester putty. This is a two part putty that is thicker than filling putty and is good for filling larger areas. There is Tamiya and also Mori Mori. My feeling is that Tamiya dries harder, but is also more porous than Mori Mori. Mori Mori can be manipulated better after it has cured and has a smoother finish.

Then there is epoxy putty. It is also two parts, and has the consistency of clay. It's very good for sculpting modifications, parts, etc.. Tamiya makes two types. I dislike both. Milliput is ok. I really like the Gunze Sangyo light type. I use that a lot for my Gundam models and for tanks.
