Hello to all.
I have a friend with a 2003 Silverado. He notified me today that his "check air bag " indicator light came on. does anyone have info as to why this may have happened?
God's Blessing to all.

Your SIR system has a problem and the air bag will not work if light is on.
First step is get it on a SIR/air bag capable scanner and get codes.
Post back code no.
Unless you are trained on AAir bag repair it is best to leave the repair on them to a professional that is trained on SIR repair.
They can save your life or take your life in a split second.
Think of them as a loaded shot gun right in front of you.

You are welcome.
It should have a code set that willpoint to the problem.
Remember if the light is on the system is shut down and the air bag will /may not work in case of a accident.
