Explorer Fuel Pump Woes!

Hi all. I wondered if someone could help me diagnose a fuel pump problem I am having. I'm working on a '98 Exploder XLT that was hit on the front quarter. The fp was working fine for the almost two years I've been working on it (I'm a little slow :grinno: ). Last year, without much direction, I reattached the wires where the harness was damaged behind the LF headlight to make the lights/horn/airbags sensors/etc. work. When I parked it for the winter, it obviously worked to put it where I did. In the spring, it wouldn't work. I've replaced it with a new fp which worked for two weekends that I worked on it. The third weekend, it failed. So, I replaced it with a used one. I got a couple weeks out of that one and today, it doesn't work, and I'm all out of fuel pumps. The fuses and relays are ok so far as I can tell. The only thing I thought was out of order was that the fuel wasn't under much pressure, but it ran the vehicle. Testing right on the tank, it would shoot fuel about a foot from the connector tube on the tank. Does anyone have any specs to the voltages at the fp assy. connector coming from the vehicle harness? I'm now suspecting a low voltage issue. Any help is appreciated!

Its feed from a 20Amp fuse goes through the fuel pump relay. It has a ground in the left kick panel. I would check for a loose ground wire. Push in inerta switch. It should be 12 Volt check battery voltage first.
