Starter Problem

hey,
I’ve been having a problem with the starter, when I try to turn the car on you can hear one lil click but it wont turn over and when you let the key go ( while still in the ignition ) you can hear a shush kind of noise. There is gas going to the engine, battery is charge.

Dose anyone have any idea on what could cause that??

Hi Al,

I had a different starter problem: there was a hissing noise while the car was started. I changed the starter and the noise was gone. I purchased it new from http://www.partstrain.com @ $140.00. I think you may also want to replace the starter. Good luck!
