no i am not a suicidal depressed teen,, i just wonder what other people on earth live for, wether it be a god of some sort or friends whatever. I live for my girlfriend and friends without her i would be nothing and would fall apart. as for my friends they keep me together in life.

Seems like I live to pay bills and work!:( I live because I want to see both of my sons grow into responsible, socially-conscious adults with a sense of decency and respect for themselves and others. I live to be a companion and support for my wife. I also live to feed my dog, 2 parakeets, algae eater, and 1 Zebra danio (small fish). :) I also live to build model cars:alien: :p

I live because I have to.If this were a free world I would rather be gone.If I were more noble,I'D say that I stay alive for the benefit of my children, but in reality I am a selfish git.Until such times as they stop locking people up for wanting to be off this planet,I shall continue to exist.

Mr. T, you're too funny to be gone.

I live, like some others, to see what happens next. I don't really have a girlfriend, so I can't live to see one.

I live because I'm here and there's not much I can do about it. Perhaps I have some great purpose or perhaps I've already done it. Don't know. The reaction could have been started sometime ago by one little thing. But until my time comes I make the most of it just by livin' and havin' fun. I try to not worry about too many things so I am able to pull this off. So far I have and even if a problem presents itself, I go through it still. As time continues on I figure I'll just go with the flow of most things. The thing is, I don't know if i've done what i'm intended to do so throughout my life I figure I'd make people happy like me. AT least to be a shine of light in a dark day. I guess I live to make people smile in any way...to make them laugh...to have one piece of enjoyment in their lives.

All the other posts were smart and meaningful, my turn...

I live because I was born for a reason.

I live because I was challanged by God to survive through a though life that almost everyone else has.

If God did'nt want me on earth, I would've been dead by now, so I guess I'm alive for a reason.

I live so I can make a positive change in someone's life that will make yet another change in someone elses life and so forth.

I also live to continue the human race.

I live because every moment is an opportunity that I won't have when I'm no longer walking this earth.

Every second of every minute of every hour of every day of every year is an opportunity to learn something, to try something, to make something better of myself and for others or something to sample or experience or share.

Sometimes I do things that assist myself only, sometimes I do them for others. I try to do things most of the time that benefit me and others but there are times you can't do both.

I live for the special moments in life and I try to make special moments. Whether it's the simple things like running my toes through the warm blades of grass on a summer day as I lie in the yard reading a book, or watching waves break from left to right along the beach where I live or watching the sun set and cast crimson beam across an indigo sky.

Or it can be more complex moments like diving @ 130 feet in crystal blue water, watching dolphins play in the bow wave of the yacht, carving the perfect turn on an exquisite powder day @ Treble Cone, sipping long cocktails in the evening on a balmy autumn night with a girl with the cutest grin I can imagine while we indulge ourselves with fresh pieces of fruit in a white chocolate fondue or shooting photographs in a foreign city as the people stir on a winter's morning.

And for every end there is a beginning - every relationship, every friendship and every encounter however brief has left an impression on me. There are things that pleased me, things that made me sing and smile, things that made tears fall from my eyes like winter rain, things that hardened my heart and things that brought terror to reality.

I don't regret any of them they are all things that made me who I am and perhaps granted me some of the elusive quality of wisdom however small

Man there are some great responses!

I like alot of you live to help others who will in turn help someone else. Whether this is your children, friend, or complete stranger it does not matter. I do have a 2 year old daughter and another child on the way so I live for both of them even though sometimes I think it might be better that I go and they collect the insurance and have everything they want. Who doesn't have these moments.

I live to advance myself both personally as well as proffesionaly in all aspects. I live hoping that one day I may make the right decision or like many other fortunate people be in the right place at the right time so that I never have to worry about waiting for the paycheck to be deposited at the end of the month. I hope one day I would be able to amass great wealth and give my friends and family every thing they dream about.

I live because I do not want to die! Some people believe in a greater power and place you will go to in the afterlife which I respect; however I believe that when you die the only place you go is six feet under or in a big fireplace. I would rather play the cards I was dealt and hope that at the end I win.

Death is nature's way of telling you to slow down.

Why I live? well if I had something better to do, believe me I'd be doing it.

I live for my wife, I live for my family, I live in the knowlege that I will have kids one day and a new chapter of my life will open up, I live in the hope of experiencing something new every day, I live so I don't miss anything.
