New tail light installation problem

So I got these new tail lights for my ZX5, and they are perfect, cept for the fact that the stock bulb socket cant be screwed into the new light because the notches are way too big for the openings on the new one.. hard to explain hope someone understands. Anyway, ive been looking for new sockets, but no one seems to sell the ones that fit the new tail lights... anyone got any ideas?

Would take them back. You could enlarge the openings in the new tail lights with a file. Then...........Who's got the duct tape?

I ended up filing them down and working them in, works now looks really good too. Thanks for the help
