95 Nissan 5-speed won't go!

Hello,I'm new here.Was refered from another site.
And,of course I have a problem.
95 Nissan4-cylinder,5-speed.262,000 miles.
My transmission won't go.Makes a grinding noise in all gears.No previous trouble.Haven't pulled it yet,but seems to be something let go inside.
Anyone had this problem?What should I do to it?Is it common?What happened?

most likely bearing failure. but with the mileage it's FUBAR any way you look at it. salvage yard would be cheaper than a rebuild.
