97 Firebird..Car starts and then dies immediately.

I have a 1997 Firebird. It has the V6 with automatic transmission. I drove the car and parked it to go do some errands. Came back about 3 hours later and the car would not run. It turns over and starts up but then goes dead immediately. I thought it was probably the fuel pump. Mechanic tells me this morning the fuel pressure is fine but car still does the same. Turns over, starts, and then dies immediately. Anybody have any ideas what could cause this. Jump timing, computer, ignition, etc. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Problem fixed. It was the ignition module that is under the coil packs. It had gone bad. Car cranks and runs fine.
