Drago20 is that just for the 03's or are other years involved in that TSB? We have an '05 Liberty. Did they charge you for that? Thanks for the info.

see ands thats why i say the liberty isn't a real jeep if it was a Jeep they wouldn't have so many problems and have about 30 in the local junk yard that been burnt

I dearly appoligize but I can't stand the Liberty. If my statements offended any one i'm sorry. I just don't think the Liberty is a real jeep.

BTW what motor is in you liberty if its the 3.7 those are plagued with horrible relibility problems they are constantly being replaced i'm friends with a mechanic at a jeep dealer engines and transmissions go constantly engines around 70,000+ miles the average is 87,000 miles i have a friend who owns a liberty she's replaced the engine once and the trans 3 times engine she wouldn't tell me the price the trans roughly $3000 each time

I have just recently found the same problem with two 2003 Jeep Libertys. Except both of these were from the cylinder 4 exhaust valve. Both of these jeeps was the 3.7 liter engine i believe. I couldn't find anything wrong or a reason why they came off. Everything was tight. I put everything back together and haven't seem anything out of them yet. I didnt replace any valves or springs but probably wouldnt hurt to of do that.

The rocker arms usually pop off on the right side and from what I have seen it's usually the exhaust rockers. It supposedly is caused by the rockers being machined improperly and the reason its usually the right side is because of the direction the cam is rotating.Usually if you pop it back in,it doesn't come out again but according to Chrysler(and I'm a tech at a dealer,so that's how I know this) you are supposed to replace the rocker and lash adjuster of the affected cylinder(s).Also when you put the new rocker in it should snap into place.
