Anybody have any input on airbag suspension helpers?
I was thinking of something like this to help with the sagging rear end sometimes.

Anyone have any thoughts?

you still messing with that truck? got that shaft figured?
why not to simply replace the leaf springs or replace the 2nd leaf with the long one, or place tank rubber spacers between the current leaves? why do folks always want to go the most expensive way, instead of fixing/modding what's fixable?

Nope, the front shaft is still turning, all the time....I'm on my 2nd junkyard TC and waiting for another part, then it goes off to the tranny shop to have them scan for codes if it is still acting up.
Actually, in pricing out replacement leafsprings, throwing $200 at airbags is the cheaper option.
And since I wouldn't utilize the airbags every day, it would keep the ride a little on the softer side when the truck is empty most of the time.
at 160k miles, if the truck should fail, the airbags I might be able to remove and resell, not so with springs.
I don't follow these suggestions, could you explain why they might help or be cheaper?

well, sorry about trannie....
it's the old school suspension "helpers". leaf springs have seperate leafs in them, from the longest to progressively shorter ones. we used to toss the 2nd leaf and replace it with another longest one, with "ears" cut off - those rings on the ends where bushings go in. makes spring assembly much stronger. some folks would, actually, take that that leaf to a smithy and have him curl it a little bit more. some would leave half of the ear on, so that it cups underneath the one on the 1st leaf. personal preferences....
tank rubber is very strong. at least in my city, where we had tanks repair factory, we had indefinite supply of that material from old tank rollers. so we figured to cut proper sized spacers out of it, disassemble spring assembly, and put those spacers inbetween the leafs, towards the ends. what it did, it'll spread the leafs apart, and by doing so, make spring muchstiffer and allow for additonal lift.
we had same done to the front coil springs - turn a donut out of tank rubber and place it between the coil and upper mount. will give about inch lift to a car and stiffen the spring. was bitch to put in, he-he.:evillol:
