94 altima starter help PLEASE

i have a 94 altima automatice tranny, my starter died and i bought a replacement got it installed and all that.
now it will start only the first time of the day without any problems after that it grinds or just spins and wont engage. i had the flywheel looked at and its fine.
So i took the starter back down to the parts store and they checked it and it tested good. it engaged and dissengaged like 50 times with no problems. so im told to check my wiring cause maybe something is getting hot. I checked all the wiring and nothing looks like its in even remotely bad condition and it worked perfectly fine before the starter died.
ive searched everywhere and cant figure this out
