Ok. 2004 GA 2.2 Ecotec. Im looking for 2 things.
I want to do a new cat-back. Watched a video with a Pacesetter Monza Exhaust :shakehead , sounded awful IMO. I was told by a buddy that placing the muffler closer to the cat would deepen the tone and remove most, if not all, of the raspiness. I also heard that a glasspack before the muffler did the same. Input? Found a hell of a price on the Monza (Less than 300 w/ free shipping) but i dont want it to sound like a civic exhaust.
#2...I want to install a short throw shifter from CosmoRacing. Anyone done this? How difficult? Step by step explanation would be great.
Thanks guys.

It would cost around $300-350 for a custom 2.5" Cat back.
Also dual tips sound less raspy, but its a 4 cyl you cant expect it to sound like a V8 no matter what you do.
A glass pak is nothing more then a resonator like the one that is on your car, but would sound better, but it still slows exhaust gases.
Headers would always be a good choise for noise pollution. :D :grinyes:

Crap. The sound i want is a low rumble. No rasp, pops, or whine. I guess I'm just to picky . Theres an alero on youtube with the pacesetter and it sounds the sh*t. But its a V-6.
