1998 Biuck Century Window Problems

My Buick rear window on thepassenger side will not go up. How can I get this window up or do I have to get a new motor? Can I just manually put it up and leave it that way? Thanks

I am sure others will chime in on this

from what I understand you can pull the door panel manually push up the glass and put a clamp in the rail to hold it up
Dealers usually charge about 80.00 to do this and about 600 to put in a new motor if that is the problem

I'm in process now of putting a new regulator and motor in the rear myself. I have a 2001 century basically same as yours. Remove the door panel and motor and regulator are bolted in, which makes it easy to remove. Then get on e-bay and you can bid on a new one for $50.00 to $60.00 dollars, shipping including. Easy fix and not to expensive. GM priced me the regulator and motor for $426.00.
