The reason I post this question about my Outback in the Legacy is quite simple, really. I'm going to swap in Legacy suspension components. With Legacy suspension, it just makes my car a Legacy with Outback badges and bumpers.

Anywho, I'm looking at converting to coilovers for track and a little bit of street use. I'd like to lower the car as much as possible without sacrificing handling ability and tire clearence abilities (235/40/18 tires). Any Legacy drivers out there have any good experience with coilovers? I don't know how much drop I'll need in terms of Legacy suspension. For Outbacks (which have about a 2.5" lift), I'll need around 3-3.5" of drop in the rear. I'm not sure how much front drop I'll use, since my front springs are worn out and the car sits uneven, so there's no point in making official measurements off of it.
