Yes you can. Removing the front driveshaft only disconnects the front axle and you will get your forward motion from the rear driveshaft.
Same is true if you need to remove the rear driveshaft you can shift into 4HI and drive your vehicle getting forward motion from the front axle.
(CAUTION... it is not recommended to drive at higher speeds while using the front driveshaft only)
