Anti-freeze question....

I have just acquired a 1995 Grand Am SE 3.1..... Is the Prestone "Green" anti-freeze OK to use in the 1995 model year? Is 1996 the first year that GM came out with the "Orange" anti-freeze? I also own a 1996 Lumina and it uses the orange type. The manual for the Lumina is very specific on the use of the orange, but the Gran Am manual makes no mention of the type or "color".

Thanks in advance for any help.....

Yeah mixing the two types is a bad idea!

It'll turn to a gel type substance and wont flow through any part of the cooling system very well, usualy causes it to over heat rather quickly too.
