Okay, I have a 95 chevy s10... I cannot put a OBD1 connection on the device it does not fit. I have also a OBD2 connection device. It fits on the connection but will not work If someone knows the way to actually view the ECU errors let me know.

I will try that but is it a obd 1 or 0bd2 scanner
cause liek i said i can't find a obd1 that will fit and my vehicle is a 95 not a 96
and the odb2 connection is the one that should not be used hence its for 96 and newer

The 95 was the transition period for OBD-1 to OBD-2. Pending on which Assembly plant your come from. It could be either one. When it comes to the OBD-2 connector on the 95's. I've found that there are some out there that require an adaptor for changing the pin out on the connector for it to read properly. My 95 was lucky. It had a OBD-2 that was pin out correct and didn't need a adaptor. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

if the obd1 connecter fits then its obd1 and same for the obd 2 that year can go either way. it could be obd2 and the codes could be 2 digit witch is more like obd1 i know its weird but thats the way it is
