Hot air/Cold air

I just got done replacing the ignition switch in my 99 3.5, which fixed the problem with my climate control unit periodically not working. Anyway, previous to the fix I was getting very little air out of the vents, but when the climate control unit worked, the air was cold. Now, the air blows hard and cold on the passenger side, and it seems to be stuck on vent, on the drivers side. when I had the dash apart, I did try to move the control arm thing that sits right behind the ingnition switch, just to see if I could get it to blow harder. I don't know if I screwed something up by doing that, but you awsome people have helped me fix every other problem I have had so I thought I would try again.

There may be a couple of different solutions. If it's a manual temp control a bad temperature Actuator that is located behind the ignition, mounted on the driver's side of the vent box may be be bad. This will open the vents for the drivers side center, and driver's side vent by the door. If you remove the instrument panel cover under the steering wheel and knee bolster /metal bracket you can see (barely) the flat motor against the vent. The motor turns the vent shaft, thus open and closing the vents.
The part is about $40 from RockAuto.com.

I found mine to be working fine. A second solution may be to check the freon level in the A/C. I had cool air in the drivers side two vents and much colder air in the two passenger side vents. I did in fact need a charge in my freon and after all four vents, both passenger and driver's side kicked out the same level of nice cold air. I did the re-charge myself with a refill kit w/ guage and have had no problems in the last two months. You don't want to overcharge or you'll blow your A/C seals and have more problems.
The A/C charge is a cheap fix. Getting to the temp actuator is a tight repair job as far as space for your hands. Hope this helps. If its the automatic temp controls I can look at my shop manual and see.

I just refilled freon to my a/c myself and it worked well cold air through all vents. I released the bad air into a bag to clean the whole system by the nozzle and a pen tip on it. Filled it up to with 1 16oz can of freon 28psi.
Now I got a new problem the when a/c is turned on the driver's side vents blow air like the fan is blowing feeling warm compared to the A/C. The passenger's side blow's cold feeling like a freezer.
The center vent above radio driver side feels warm like a fan and passeger side blows cold. WARM ~~(---)(---)~~COLD
