Tuning apex i afc for my talon

I have a 91 talon awd with a 4g63t, it has an older model apex i super afc with the turn dials, having trouble tuning it, anyone have some advice?

Tuning to what? With what mods? What are you trying to do? How are you viewing your changes made? Logger? Wideband? Goals?
