Help with rear hub 99 T&C while on vacation

I am on vacation and the right rear hub is making a high pitch squeal. Any ideas on whether I can drive home 200 miles before fixing it?

depending on how ofton you use brakes.sounds like you might have the shoes or pads metal.

The problem is constant and does not really change if the brakes are applied or not. I do not think it is the brakes.

That leaves bearings and I sure wouldn't want them to sieze at 70 mph.

So I have decided to change it while on vacation instead of trying to drive home.

Ya. A pain in the butt anytime, let alone on vacation but, a smart move. Hopefully you or a mechanic will find a simple explanantion that doesn't cost a bundle. Thanks for "reading through the lines" on my pre-edit post.

Well at least there are easy to change as I brought my tools with me after last summer. Which I should have thought of before posting anything. While on vacation last year the front had a bit of a clunk or something on the left when turning left corners. I checked it out with my brother but could not find anything major. Then while driving back home it became a constant clunk and shook so bad I had to pull over. When I checked there were only 2 studs left on the front left. Very lucky the wheel did not fall off on the highway. Of course no parts stores around the old service station I stopped at. My daughter was ahead of us and I made her stop at Autozone and get me a hub and any tools I thought I might need. The gas station had a floor jack left over from when they moved out and let me use it. I should have checked and seen if the lifts still worked. Other than the wait to get the tools and parts in the hot sun it didn't take long to fix. So I should know better than to chance driving on bad hub even if it did not seem to be any hotter than the opposite side.
