Fuel pump and line repair...Keep your receipts

Just got our '02 Trailblazer back from the NHTSA lab. They were using it to look for spray patterns on the pressurized side of the fuel pump. The line was rusted through in four places. They are gathering information to pass along to the DOT for a possible recall. The study paid for the repair on our vehicle but they said others should at least hang on to their receipts for any repairs on the fuel pump and/or lines.
