ok-I have had the tranny fuild changed, changed the input & output speed sensors. I just put my autocan on it and it reads 700-which means(according to my guide) "transmission control system malfunction". What does that mean? Do I have to rebuild my tranny? It only has 59000 miles and slips just once in a while-which is in my opion to often! Help!!

You had the tranny fluid changed but did you have the filter changed and did you use ATF+4 fluid, if not get whatever fluid they used out of the tranny and use the correct fluid. Any other kind of fluid will ruin the tranny.

P0700 code means you should have the codes in the transmission read which your autoscan I don't believe can do. You will need to take it to a dealer or tranny shop should be able to read them. These codes will be more specific as to the problem.

Go to the 2002 Service Manual thread and download the manual it has lots of info that ccould help you. This is a factory service manual that the dealerships use.

I took it to a dodge dealer. The codes came back that the solenoid is bad, and I have a valve sticking in the tranny. They said they don't have to tear the tranny ALL the way down-just part way. It is going to be very expensive to fix. So now I am going to order the parts and then look for a tranny person to do it. I know that the dealership is going to charge alot more than a smaller shop.
