Okay, you will get a kick out of this. Our friggin extended warranty company went bankrupt. yayyyyy. Here is the problem. power sliding door is cloesed and will not open. You can hear a click each time you push one of the remotes or the buttons in the vehicle. So where do I start?
Thanks

I would start with your pwr sliding door reset procedure that should be in your owner's manual. It probably involves a fuse under the hood that you pull out, wait so many seconds and place back in its slot, with some steps on running a opening/closing sequence for the door from the inside switches.
My '97's went out about 4 yrs ago and I don't want to spend $400 or so (stealership price) for my repair to the module in the back. I have bought a $50 one from the internet that I am having troubles replacing the original with.
Be sure the passenger side front floor mat and underneath it (under the carpet where a wire harness bundle appears) is not wet as this I have heard can cause problems with the Pwr sliding door.
Let us know what was the repair that worked. Also make sure that there are no recalls for any pwr sliding door issues for you year venture.

I have an 03 and the passenger side power sliding door is stuck. It's locked and won't unlock either manually from the inside or electrically. It tries to unlock electrically and sounds like it should, but it's mechanically hung up. Has been working fine until now, and I know the track is fine. I'll try removing the skin then post solution.

Have you inadvertently turned on the roof console sliding door override switch?

yeah if that switch is tripped then the door won't do anything. on mine its the second from the left on the overhead.

I have a 97 Venture and a few years ago the power sliding door had some of those same issues. And when it did work, it would close and try to latch, but then open again as if something was in the way. One thing we did that seemed to work for a while is to lubricate the track. It worked for mine. Hope this helps someone.
Thanks

I have a 97 Venture also and the sliding door is doing the same as Venture Chick's did. I am just starting to try to figure out how to fix it. Maybe I will start a post on it.
