There is a small hose like 3/8 that runs from top of rad to the overflow tank.

If overheating check out the overheating problem.
Good rad cap and thermo stat?
Rad low on coolant?
Any other coolant leaks?

If the tempt gauge went up it was overheating.
The hose hooks to the bottom of overflow tank to the top of rad under rad cap.
Is the hose off at one end or the other or just broke?
On the overflow tank pour some water in it and see where the water runs out.

Its not the overflow hose going from the radiator cap to the over flow tank all those things are good. ITS THE HOSE THAT COMES OFF THE TOP RIGHT SIDE OF ENGINE BLOCK WHEN I WAS LOOKING AT IT THE HOSE WENT IN A DOWN WARD DIRECTION IT DOESNT GO THE RADIATOR CAUSE I LOOKED AND CHECKED AND DIDNT FIND ANY CONNECTIONS ON THE RADIATOR... WERE DOES IT CONNECT TO????

There are no 3/8" dia hoses on the block.

3/4" dia, yes.

Those would be (2) the heater core hoses, running from the block/water pump, to the passenger side firewall.

No need to YELL either.

As MT has requested, post a picture. Without actually seeing what's disconnected, anything we might tell you is simply a WAG.

If the rad is bad.
Junk yard rad rad may not be so good.
It is best to get a new one.
Check you local parts places for price on a new one.
Goodf Luck
