Quick Question

after reading about windage cloud, crank scrapers, etc etc. It makes me wonder if using an oil stabilizer would be wise. that can be taken in two ways tho, protection yes, but would that loose a minute amount of horse power? anyone have any input? I would love the extra protection, but dont want to lose any hp in the process...

techron every 3k and seafoam 1 week prior to oil change religiously.

Anything that thickens the oil usually creates some additional drag, this maybe neglible, but in all out drag race engines looking for a .10 of a second advantage, it may show up. Additives such as this are generally unnecessary when using fresh premium synthetics. My pictured record holding race car ran it's best on 10/30 synthetic racing oil, they now use 5/20 for these short runs.
