Plugs

Time for a new set of spark plugs for my 88 Bonne SSE.
I know what the book calls for and the gap, but does anyone have a "pet plug" and gap that you have found to be the best for your ride? I am in the Colorado Rockies but I don't think that would make much difference on the heat range. Or will it?

I actually like NGK or AC Delco for the 88-91 3800... NGK TR55's are one heat range cooler than the stock plug but perform well..

Being that you are in the Rockies you may want to stay with a stock heat range for better starting performance in the cooler weather.. The coldest I have seen it here was about 25F, and even then the car started right away with the NGK TR55's...

Autolite, AC Delco, NGK and the like are all good plugs...

Do stay far far away from a Bosch or Bosch Platinum with the 3800... The Bosch Platinums do not fair well with the GM DIS System..
