To anyone that may have tackled this task,
I would like to keep the car as original as possible, however, I also want reliability, performance & economy so I have purchased a new 1600 twin-port.
My question is,
"Is it possible to utilize the original 1300 flywheel, clutch & pressure plate on my new 1600 motor?". Doing this will allow me to keep the original gearbox without grinding 2mm from the inside of the bell-housing for the 1600 flywheel clearance or changing the starter motor.
Any help much appreciated!!
Cheers Chris

You'll have to change the ignition circuit and generator on the new engine to 6 volt, or change all of the bulbs, windshield wiper motor, etc. to 12 volt.
That is, unless the car had previously been converted to 12 volt.

yes the original had been converted to 12v, is that the only mod I will need to do?, it's mainly the flywheel clearance that's an issue @ the moment.
