Hi there,

I'm new here, from Germany and I found this forum a few days ago... very cool forum and VERY nice cars you built here! Oh yeah....I'm a total beginner
I bought a Fujimi Kit a few days ago, it's a KoenigSpecials Testarossa. The cover shows the rear side of this car (don't know if there are much more versions of this kit). The car's color is white. Bought it for just 20 bucks in a special price offer, i know that fujimi is a good brand so i thought it is a good price...!
Did someone built this kit? Is it nice to build?

Hi & welcome to AF!

the kit you mentioned has 4 variants, all curbside & from fujimi. 2 spyders & coupes in 'competition' & 'comfort' type.
i have 2 of them, not touched yet but fujimi are all straight forward simple to build kits (except the EM series).
20 Euro or USD? because ich koenigs are so easily available, the prices they command are very cheap...i got my for @8.50USD each.

these are good beginner kits to do for you now...just keep it simple & you'll enjoy the building process! as time goes by you'll be looking at something more challenging & more complex builds.

so long as you'll doing ferraris, i'll be around...i'm a 100% ferrari freak, so see you around!

hi rockinanko,

I bought it for 20euros in netherlands. It's in 1/16, Enthusiast Series, No. 10161 1/16 5700.

http://cgi.ebay.com/FUJIMI-1-16-FERRARI-TESTAROSSA-Koenig-Special-n-Tamiya_W0QQitemZ180198276133QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid =p3286.m20.l1116

Think it was a good offer...
Is there a good place for photos about this car? (except the car's website)
Thank you!

If you bought from the same ebayer you just posted, he's price gouging on his shipping. I know it doesn't cost $30 to ship a 1/16 scale kit anywhere in the US, unless he's shipping over night with all kinds of insurance and all that...I doubt it.

WHAT!? in 1/16!!??
then 20euro is a real steal! i thought you're talking about 1/24 my friend!

oh, i never really have the urge to start this series yet so i don't know where to find info on this build...maybe you can try going to the major search engine to locate any pics. in fact, i don't even know if i could be of any help...it's a 1/16 you're building cos' i'm only in 1/24 scale building & there's a difference between in building.

but there are some 1/16 builders around & hopefully you can locate their help when the need arise. remember next time state the scale you're building so that everyone knows, it's easier gather to the same group of builders for ref & pics too.

happy modeling!

If this is your first build, I would strongly recommend a smaller and simpler kit. Fujimi's 1/16 Enthusiast kits are unnecessarily large and complicated for a first attempt. They are kits that reward builders with some experience (at least 2-3 builds previously), but would likely frustrate a beginner.

There are many, many kits that would be better options for a first kit. I'd recommend a 1/24 Tamiya curbside (no engine) kit. Save the 1/16 Testarossa for when your a bit better prepared for it.

Hey and welcome fellow german modeller to AF. Make sure not visit too often - this place can be very adictive.
I agree with MPWR on this subject. The 1/16 Fujimi-kits are very rewarding but better suting the advanvced modeller. You should pick a kit that will make you happy and finish something that keeps you with the hobby. So choose nothing to frustrating - take it step by step. Try to learn how to get a decent paint job done. That made me happy and keep on modelling.
So the best range to choose from is the Fujimi Real Sports Car Series or a nice Tamiya kit. Revell does it as well. If you need help - feel free to PM me. Then we can talk german and donīt p*** off the other forummembers.

Hey guys,
well i took a look in the manual and i think its really better to build my revell kits (corvette c6 and a diablo) first.... :) they will be much easier to build, you're right!
many thanks to all you!
