heater core?

i am leaking coolant on my 95 caprice. it all seems to be leaking on the passenger side floor. im pretty sure this is the heater core. if so, how hard is it to change. pep boys sells a new heater core for 50 bucks with a lifetime warranty. i put stop leak in it and it worked for over 5,000 miles but i would like to fix it so i know it wont leak.

Best thing to do, and I know I say this a lot, is to get a manual for your car. It will detail how certain R&R procedures are. I've never owned a bubble Caprice, so I can't tell you how to do the procedure. I could tell you how to do it on my car (hint: it's EASY as far as heater core R&Rs are concerned), but your car is different and I am quite sure that the job involves pulling equipment from under the dash to get to it.

ya i figured i would definetly have to go through the dash to get to it. i have the owners manual that the car came with but not a repair manual.

the heater core comes out under the dash passenger side not too difficult...it is harder than the older style that pops right out under the hood fire wall passenger side..


compared to a 1999 silverado on up its very easy as the whole dash needs removal...including the evap unit...
