Neutral Safety Switch

My 97 GT has been having starting issues lately and will start with the shifter in neutral. Where is the neutral safety switch located? From what i have been told and read this is the problem but i cant find where it is located.

Called the transmission range switch aka park/neutral switch which is located on the top rear of the autotransaxle. Just follow the shifter cable coming out of the firewall to the end or look below the power brake booster and master cylinder area.
