I have a 95 pontiac transport, and need to replace the signal flasher. Left side works fine, right side not so much. I already bought and replaced any bulbs that needed it and bought a new flasher, I just can't seem to locate the flasher in the van?

Should be able to hear the flasher unit clicking & follow the noise.

Flasher unit is loctaed under the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. manual says to remove the lower sound insulating panel and then it is quite accesible. You can get at it without removing the panel, but, from experience, be prepared to leave a lot of skin on sharp metal edges The same flasher is used for both left and right signals, so if it works ok on the left side I don't think the flasher is the problem. If it blinks rapidly on the right side I would suspect a short on the front or rear harness, of if it doesn't blink, and open there. Also there may be a problem with the signal switch itself
Good luck

I Have a 1998 pontiac transport montana van and I have a turn signal problem too. When I start the van the turn signal lights work perfectly O.K. but after 2 minutes the lights stop working and flasher relay stops ticking. Is it the flasher relay problem or any thing else . where is the flasher relay fitted how does it look like Thanks

This looks like a bad flasher relay. The o.e. works with a bi-metal contact breaker.
Just buy a better one with a proper relay inside it.
I don't know where it is located in the Montana but it has the shape and size of a C-cell battery, with a 2 or 3 wired connector at the bottom. Easy fix!

Does the panel just pop right off? My Haynes manual shows it already removed, but I didn't want to just jump in and start prying until I knew for sure.
Thanks!

On my 96, the lower panel came off with a few screws & maybe one (or a few) had a bolt head.
