Pressed the left turn signal & had my fingers on the lever when I turned the steering wheel right & ..something felt funny..
Turned out the left turn signal self canceling broke. Have to do it manually now.
What part is involved in the fix? Whole turn signal switch assy re&re or perhaps some other minor part?

Don't have the part# right now but the dealer said there is a switch for ~ 70 bucks (but didn't confirm that it would repair the prob) & a wrench said that there are springs that can break & he's done a few.
Guess I'll know for sure when I get in there.

My wife's 96 has the same issue. It cancels right turn but not left turn. I took the column apart on the weekend and didn't see anything obvious. How is the cancelling cam work? There are two bumps on the bottom side of the cam and a few layers of black film material on the top side of the cam. The spring on the signal switch is in place. Thanks in advance.

Took it all apart last night and had another look. A spring was missing. Thanks.
