It's not often this car gets seen out in the wild, so I thought I'd post these I've just found :)

cool find!

If Roger remembers the plate it had in 2004 when it was seen at Schaefer, we could say for sure if it is #075 or not.
But I'm pretty sure it is...

Nice find, Greg - that is indeed #075

Does your source have any more pics?

I'm working on it, I am just waiting for a reply to an email I sent him before sharing it on here

Was just about to ask where the heck your new signature came from as I didn't start the morning with this thread. Of course, now I don't have to.

Very surprising to see that car in such a random location.

Thanks!

this belongs to mansour ojjeh's brother right?

Yes - Aziz Ojjeh was who #075 was originally built for, however there is a possibility the car was sold about two years ago so no telling where it may be now.

Refer to this thread, primarily starting at post #8:

orange metallic FS in Germany!!! (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t528726.html)

The imageshack photo link in jkbon's post is no longer available, but here is the image that was eventually used to advertise the car.

I just realized this image is flipped horizontally. :screwy:

Another thing too - the small portion of the car seen on the left side of this photo appears to be another McLaren F1 to me - wearing its car cover, with the cut-out where the wheel nut would be.

As #075 also had Switzerland plates when it was seen 4 years ago at Schaefer, one can assume that it was in Switzerland ever since - right?

:)

The car may have been in Switzerland since it was built, up to 2006 when it was offered for sale.

I can tell you that other than Roger's photos, these are the first images I have ever seen of the car that were not supplied by McLaren themselves. I'd be interested to hear exactly when they were taken. It must have been fairly recent as I see the current style MBZ S-Class in the background.

The person who took the photos was on a family holiday driving back to Lausanne through Geneva, and the pictures were hosted on another forum site on the 28th July with the info 'Burnt Orange Mclaren F1 I saw in Geneva recently....'. I should be getting more images within the next day or so to share here

Some interesting news came my way today related to these photos. No reason to doubt the source on this. :)

Chassis #075 has now transferred ownership to Mansour Ojjeh.

However, possibly the best part of the note - McLaren Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton has been getting some seat time in it, according to my contact.

Now that's what I call a "company car".

P.S.: Hopefully he doesn't let his dad borrow it.

I was the one who took the pics. Post away Greg!

Edit: Wow so that was Ojjeh's car and Hamilton's been driving it?! I should have taken more pictures :)

Yeah, love that angle too. The paintwork was in amazing condition. Looked magnificent in the sun.

I saw the car on 22nd of July.

Bloody great shots !!!

Kieran, thanks for sharing!
Greg, thanks for posting!

The headlight covers seem to be replaced - back in 2004 they were a little "blind"

I was the one who took the pics.

Thanks - quite a sighting you had. I bet if Lewis had come out when you were there, he would have shown you around the car.

How close to that pair of bollards does the car wanna be!?

hurstg01
08-09-2008, 02:02 AM
Those bollards look like they have been placed there after the car was parked, to stop others from getting to close to it.

I was looking for other stuff today, and found this totally unrelated to my search - another pic in the same setting
