Just got my ACT Clutch and Flywheel and I called a local shop here to install it and they quoted me labor of $350 !? Given I don't really know what goes into installing these, but does this sound high to anyone else? The problem is Im in a small town and this place works specifically on foreign autos. Its either him or Billy Bob's shack on the corner and I don't think I want just anyone doing this. I'll probably end up taking it there anyway, just wondering what anyone else here has paid.

I'd call as many places as possible but yes they charge a lot for clutch installs. Just get a manual and do it yourself.

I knew the "do it yourself"comment would come along at some point :)
No chance, it's too much of a pain. I get pissed off working on anything more than a tune up. I work on my car myself whenever possible but something like this I would rather leave to someone who knows what they are doing. j00 know?

well...considering they'll have to lift ur motor out, take out ur old clutch, put the new one in...align the flywheel and put it all back together...its a nice lil job. i paid 300 for my install, but i had them replace all my belts an resurface my fly-wheel while they were at it...so its not really that high.

thats crap,---- who takes an engine out to put a clutch on if u have a lift---- we put my friends clutch in in his garage up on his lift--- i suppose u could do it on jack stands ass well--- drop the tranny down and put the clutch in-- should take a couple hours of steady work
