Antilock brake sensor ring

The antilock brake sensor ring (the one that looks like a gear) that is on the front axle of my 2007 Mariner AWD broke & needs to be replaced. The ring looks like it is just pressed on. Is it difficult to install? What items do I need to remove? Any special tools? It appears to be an easy job, but sometimes looks are deceiving. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about the ring itself, but to get to the point where you can access the spindle, search the Escape forum for my post on replacing the front wheel bearing. That might give you some of that "Any help" you asked for in getting started and help you not blow out the boot on the lower ball joint like I did.

I don't think you can buy just the ring. An Auto parts store with a machine shop should be asked. I think you will have to a parts store and buy a new assembly.
