trailer hitch

I have a 91 GMC sierra that has the factory tow package. I just bought a 97 cheyenne that has no tow package. Will the 91 tow package bolt up to the 97 cheyenne? Second question is, I have the original window sticker for the 97 cheyenne and what do I look for to find weather I have the z71 options?

Well I can't directly answer your question, but I had a 91 extra cab chevy with a Valley Industries receiver. I upgraded to a 92 step side and it bolted right up. According to the Valley Industries website its the same recevier for 88-98 light duty trucks.
