Hello all
First post here, lurked for a while but just now registered.:loser:
I have an 03 Venture minivan, and at 75,000 miles, the rear shocks have fought the good fight. It has the ELC system on it.
I was wondering if anyone had any idea if there is an outfit that makes an aftermarket shocks for it. I'm not really worried about the ELC system on it, it seems that from what I've read it is more of a headache than anything else, so I was looking for a good set of gas shocks (like Moog or KYG).
Problem: The lower attatching stud is larger than the ones I've found on aftermarkets. Without taking a micrometer to it, the stud is about the same diameter as the shock bushing outside diameter.
Anyone else done this? If so, is there a simple (i.e. "less expensive) fix for this, or am I bound to eat $500+ for the shocks at the dealer?
Thanks in advance.
