A 44 lb cat was found wandering around outside???
More like lying around!! I knew of a 29 lb cat once, and he was so heavy he could barely walk across the room.

The owner has been found:http://www.kolnkgin.com/home/headlines/26103159.html .
Apparently she had to let the cat go as her house was foreclosed. That is a sad occasion which is becoming all to commonplace around the country as many people lose their homes to foreclosure or can no longer afford to pay for items for their pets such as food. That reality has already hit home in my area with our local SPCA closing their doors to any new animals being dropped off as they are way over capacity, and they put a great deal of the blame on this to the previously mentioned reasons.

That is sad, and makes me kinda mad...... Seriously!
(but I am still going to post my usual stupid joke)...
.....they should have ate the cat, and used the money they would have spent on food (that month!) towards the mortgage...:evillol:

That would have some meaning in my area. There is a village about 4 miles from me called Solvay. It was settled back in the 1800s by many immigrants from the Tyrol region in Italy. It has been said that in that area, they ate cats like you or I would eat chicken or beef. To this date that stigma still is mentioned as a joke over 150 years later even though the Tyrolean population is a lot less than in previous years.
