Air Hose to Shocks

I was doing a rear brake job on my 02 Limited and noticed the air line to the driver's side rear shock is broken in 2. How/where can I find a piece to join the 2 pieces. I would prefer to run a whole line from the compressor but the stealership wants $267 for the 2 lines that make up this harness.

My dealer quoted me 140 for the hoses all the way to the compressor, which includes the harness they are permanently attached to. I bought a universal hose kit for 9.99, clipped the fitting off with a foot of hose to spare, purchased a double ended pressure fitting for about 10 and put it all back together. Fixed it for under 20$. Works great with zero leaks. The factory hose inside diameter is very small, make sure you don't crush the hose, cut it with a knife rather than snips and you should be ok. Now if you just want a repair coupling, you can get something like shown in the pic below. I found some of these in Stainless Steel (Swagelok brand) part # -200-6 in stock @ work!:grinyes: BTW, we also have the 1/8" high pressure tubing in stock. :wink:

A local industrial tubing shop sells a quick connect and a barb connect straight union. I'm going to see these today - sound like they'll do the job. Aside from this, I may replace my rear shocks as well. Any suggestions on brands. Definitely not using GM parts. I could also use any tips on doing this install Will I need an alignment?

Monroes, I put a set of Monroes on my 02 Limited about 2 months ago. Very easy to install. Uses factory air hook ups, very easy to install, 3 bolts on each shock. No alignments needed. I believe I paid 75$ for my Monroes. This fix is about as easy as they come, if you can handle taking the tire off to get the the shock, the rest will be a breeze for you.

How do you handle tightening the top nut on the shock? It doesn't look like there's enough room to get 2 wrenches on the top to tightening it.

I was able to vice grip the very top and then hit it with a end wrench. Not really sure of the right way to do it. Just one pointer, Bolt the top first, then do the bottom.
