Hey guys. Sence I sold my 96 gsx I've been working on my buddies car. Swarm is a friend of mine, he's the server admin for Dsmtuners. I thought I would let you guys in on the build that we're doing right now on his 96 talon. His turbo came out last week with a destroyed thrust. It was smoking like a chim. We put a GM MAFT setup in while the turbo was getting rebuilt becasue the 2g MAF was just to small and we were faking the MAF. We got the turbo back yesterday and got it the car around 10pm. Other then clocking the cartrage and compressor it went pretty quick. After priming the turbo we set the idle settings with DSMlink and reloaded the maps and started calibrating the GM MAF. About 3 min into it I realized the front o2 was wack. It was giving us mixed readings and ossilating irraticly and sometimes flat lineing. So we brought it back to the garrage and let it cool down and replaced it with a new one which didn't fix the problem. Tomarrow after work we're going to bust out wiring and ecu diag and see what's going on. Probably some weid wiring mishap. I'll keep you up on the progress..

IT's getting a 97-99 conversion pretty soon. 4in core intercoolers are a bitch :)

The turbo came back from the shop a couple days ago. We ended up frying the cartrage becasue of excessive oil pressure.. nice... Eric installed a nice new 3/8in oil drain line and oil restrictor w/ inline filter. The car is beeing a POS to tune and I'm pretty stumped, and have spent a few hours reading threads online. Tom over at ECMlink is letting eric beta test V3 on his talon becasue he scriped V3 to work in linux without emulation. I got a chance to play around with it today it's pretty slick.
Eric and his room mate wired up a nitrous system to work with the existing silinoids in the car. The cruise control on/off button is controlling the notrous on/off. The set/resume is the purge and the rest is being controled through the FPS in Dsmlink. It's also looking pretty slick. If everything goes well and we can figure out all the gremlins and get the thing tuned correctly it sould be ready for a 10's pass on the 30th of the month..
Right now the car is running 48lb/min at 25psi and 6 deg of knock. lol. There's a bit to do..

Spun rod bearing #4 yesterday. Engines going back in for a rebuild..
