keyless for sprinter

Hi guys, just bought 2005 dodge sprinter. It came with one regular key.
I was wondering if there is a way to check if it originally came with remote key, without going to the dealer /kinda far/
Can't find anything on the net...

Once I found out, I assumed it may be a few hundred dollars at the most. Man, we were both equally set for a shock.
